Browsing through the collection of Doidges West of England Illustrated Almanac atThe Westcountry Studies Library, Exeter, we stumbled across a number of advertisements promoting the Stidston firm. This one is from the 1874 issue. The engraving appears to match the frontage of the (ca. 1900s) photograph we hold. We were not previously aware of the presence of a MOULDER in the Stidston firm. Can you shed any light on this connection? Note: the ghosted text is a see-through by-product of photocopying the flimsy paper on which the advertisement was printed.
